more InfoCertified Cave Guides are specially trained and certified by SSH (Schweizerische Schule für Höhlenbefahrungen Hölloch). Guide's instructions are binding and have to be followed by all participants. In particular, drip stones and lime stones are not to be touched, damaged, broken off or taken. Cave corridors and waterways are to be kept clean, rubbish is to be put in backpacks. This behaviour is a matter of course for us and our guests, as it is up to us to look after this fascinating and mysterious underground scenery. Our tours offer an in-depth glimpse into this mysterious and hidden world. At Hölloch, we distinguish three kinds of tours: Short Guided Tours in the developed area of the cave - Expeditions of longer duration requiring good hiking capabilities, a robust physical condition, and appropriate attire, however, no special knowledge required – and the Hölloch Parcours, a blend of guided tour and expedition, available all year round. In addition we offer Special Company Programmes that include apart from all the kit, candle lit drinks & nibbles and cave music. The longer excursions in to the cave are similar to pathless mountain hikes. Exposed areas are firmly secured with ropes, ladders, styles, etc. Depending on the season, Hölloch tours can very well be combined with canyoning, canoe safaris, and raft building events or, during the winter season with snowshoeing, igloo building courses, etc. |
