The foundation "Safety in Adventures" is active throughout Switzerland. Its aims are to improve security standards of commercially run outdoor and adventure activities such as river rafting, bungy jumping, canyoning, etc. and to document these security standards with the label "Safety in Adventures" to the general public.

The foundation is a non profit organisation. It defines the necessary requirements that providers have to fulfil and regularly verifies compliance. Only those who fulfil the stringent requirements are allowed to use the "Safety in Adventures" label – the blue "S".

In order to be successfully certified, outdoor and adventure activity providers have to fulfil the following quality criteria:

They have management that takes security very seriously They appoint trained and experienced staff They compile a risk analysis for the sport forms on offer They take measures to mitigate risk They document their security system They monitor accidents and incidents They strive to continually improve They let themselves be checked once a year.

After the introduction of this security label in 2004, Trekking Team AG was one of the first outdoor companies in Ticino and Central Switzerland to fulfil the certification criteria and to receive the label. In the annual recertification audits, compliance requirements are reviewed and confirmed.
