Hells hole caving expeditions
The wintertime is the best season for the longer caving expeditions in the hells hole. Then you can really go far into an unknown world and make some basic outdoor- experiences under the secure leadership of our caving guides.

Winter expeditions in the Hoelloch take place from November to March. A trip into the unknown, quiet, fascinating, adventurous, away from civilisation. Every cave exploration is an adventure and should not be attempted without professional guidance. Good physical condition and walking skills as well as the appropriate attire are indispensable. Specific know-how is not required. These excursions into the cave’s interior can be compared to mountain hikes in pathless terrain. The exposed spots are secured with ropes, ladders and bridges. This is a unique adventure for all those in search of an extraordinary experience, who like “Jules Verne” wish to discover subterranean worlds. The Swiss caving school SSH (Schweizerische Schule Höhlenbefahrungen Hoelloch), a training centre for cave guides and explorers, prepares its participants in intensive courses for their function as guides. Discover the fairy tale world of the Hoelloch in safe company.
The 190km of passageway which have been surveyed to this day, hold a unique variety of formations and information to numerous secrets. How does a cave come into being? Why is the Hoelloch so huge? Do life forms exist in the dark?
Experience the coherence of earth history in time lapse and enjoy the silence of the subterranean lakes.
