Immerse yourself into the vastness of the Hölloch cave and experience on this day expedition the fascinating shape diversity and discover how the water has carved its way relentlessly through nooks and crannies over close to a million years to finally create the cave we can explore today.
Our guides provide you with a variety of information from the formation of the cave, the earliest explorations to creatures who live in caves! But one of the most specials things to experience is the silence – as if we were moving in mother earth’s womb.
The “Glitzertor” is a 9 hour expedition – same path as the “Wasserdom” tour until we reach the old bivouac. From there it’s another two ours into different cave passages, of course the “Glitzertor” with it’s sparkling cristals! Another option is a visit to the new cave bivouac where we stay over on multiple day tours. A further highlight is the “snake”, u fun 300m long natural underground slide! Along the legendary “Riesensaal” we gradually return to the cave exit. This expedition requires a reasonable amount of physical fitness and an eagerness to explore!
