This Hölloch cave tour is an adventurous and exciting short expedition following the foot steps of the first explorers. It starts in the developed part of the cave, then you walk along splendid side paths where the first Hölloch pioneers explored over more than hundred years the “Widmer”- and “Saxergang” with nail shoes and candle laterns. We move on to places where we cannot walk upright anymore, areas where we have to crawl or climb up and down ladders and slip through narrow passages. This makes this tour somewhat expedition-like. But don’t worry, it’s not that tight and the requirements (rather sporty / rather leisurely) can well be adapted to the needs/abilities of the group.
You’ll hear about the formation of this huge cave system and the creatures that live within, there are stalactites and sinter formations to admire. Your guide will have you turn off your lights and experience complete darkness and stillness. There’s a myriad of fascinating things to discover on this tour. Join in!
To round off your tour, groups have the possibility to book a cave aperitif or a cave raclette with us. Nothing better than having a chat over glass of wine surrounded by candles and music.
Or if you’d rather have a BBQ before or after your tour, there is a BBQ spot next to the Hölloch. There is no additonal charge for the use of the BBQ area but you’d need to book ahead.
